Basilisk
The Basilisk is a small sized, snake like fantasy-creature, measuring from one to four feet in length. It is known in Greek and Roman mythology. It is a very dangerous creature which has lethal offensive and defensive capabilities. The Basilisk is one of the more interesting monsters in mythology.
The offensive and defensive capabilities of the Basilisk range from being poisonous to causing immediate death. It is said that the venom of this creature ranks with the most deadly of all monsters. It is also said that it's stare can cause instant death.
This creature's poison does not need to be transfered through it's teeth to kill it's prey. It is rumored that anything the Basilisk touches or even breathes upon will encounter instant death. If you are lucky enough to see a Basilisk before it sees you, you should immediately avert your gaze, and leave the area quickly and quietly.
